Mastery of Timeways - Stacking Experience Buff During Turbulent Timeways Event
On the latest Patch 10.1.7 Fury Incarnate PTR build, the return of the Turbulent Timeways Timewalking event was datamined! Turbulent Timeways is a world event in which players have access to Timewalking dungeons and raids for 5 weeks, going through one expansion per week. In this week's PTR build, a new experience buff has been found, attached to the upcoming event! Knowledge of Timeways is an experience buff granted via Distilled Knowledge of Timeways, a new item added in this week's PTR build.
It is currently unknown how to obtain this item, but it is speculated you earn these by completing Timewalking Dungeons. Using the item grants the experience buff, starting at 2% increased experience from killing monsters and completing quests.
Using Distilled Knowledge more times as you earn more of them will increase the experience bonus. Completing a Timewalking dungeon also increases the buff timer by 1 hour per dungeon completion, up to a maximum of 5 hours.
Earning 10 stacks of Knowledge of Timeways will transform the experience buff into Mastery of Timeways, which increases the experience bonus to 30% additional kill and quest experience! In addition to the experience bonus, an achievement has been added! The achievement Master of the Troubled Timeways requires you to obtain the Mastery of Timeways buff for all 5 weeks of the Turbulent Timeways event. This achievement grants the new Shady Shalewing mount.
