Marvel Snap gets a new competitive tournament mode June 13.
As revealed by Second Dinner development chief Ben Brode during Summer Game Fest, Conquest mode adds a new single loss, elimination-style tournament to the mobile phone and PC card game.
Conquest takes place over the course of each in-game season, with exclusive rewards up for grabs. (Conquest has no impact on a player’s Marvel Snap season rank.)
Here’s how it works: from June 13 players can participate in Conquest for free by entering the first level of the mode, dubbed the Proving Grounds.
Winners get a Silver Ticket, which is then used to try Silver Conquest. Conquer that and you get a Gold Ticket. Win in Gold Conquest and you get the Infinite Ticket. Then, during the final week of the season, the top players fight in the Infinite Conquest, with the Infinite Avatar Frame reward up for grabs.
A single loss ends a player’s run, so you’ll need another ticket to start again, or you can buy one with in-game gold.
“It’s just insane how good players have gotten at Marvel Snap since we launched in the fall,” Brode said.
“For our most competitive, high-skilled players, we wanted to give them the ultimate challenge with Conquest. Players can now find out who truly is the best of the best and worthy of ultimate Marvel Snap glory!”
