Marvel's Ironheart show casts This Is Us actress Lyric Ross as Riri Williams' best friend. Following the death of Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to continue exploring the Iron Man world through other characters. This includes the introduction of Riri Williams, a young and brilliant Black woman who becomes the superhero known as Ironheart in the comics after creating her own suit using Tony Stark's technology. Marvel Studios confirmed plans to use Riri Williams in the MCU in 2020 when Dominique Thorne was cast to lead the Ironheart Disney+ show in development.

Audiences won't meet Riri until November 2022, but Marvel is now in the process of adding cast members to her Disney+ show. It was previously announced that Ironheart added Anthony Ramos to its cast in a mysterious role that could allow him the opportunity for more MCU appearances.
