Marvel’s Avengers has gone from having no MCU skins to an abundance of them. Over the past several months, fans have seen everything from Iron Man 2’s Briefcase suit to Black Widow’s Snow suit in the marketplace, with Spider-Man and Black Panther getting plenty of MCU-inspired outfits as well. Thor is no different, though the latest skin for the hero is an unexpected pick to say the least.
Marvel’s Avengers fans can purchase a few MCU looks for Thor, with his black armor from Avengers: Endgame available alongside his suit from the first Avengers film. Prior to the latest skin being added, the popular gladiator armor from Thor: Ragnarok was made available, with many fans loving the short hair Thor skin. While Thor’s latest skin looks solid enough from a design standpoint, taking anything from Thor: The Dark World is a bit of a shocker.

Thor’s latest outfit comes straight from Thor: The Dark World, with this particular set of armor only featuring in that film. As many MCU fans will surely know, Thor: The Dark World is widely considered the worst entry in the MCU — or at least near the bottom of the list with The Incredible Hulk. While it still has a positive rating with 66% on Rotten Tomatoes, beating out the divisive Eternals and its 47% critic rating, that film has a higher audience score than The Dark World.
The reasons why Thor: The Dark World is considered such a disappointment are numerous, with the only real upsides of the film being directly tied to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.
