Despite a very troubled first 18 months, and not much in the way of major news from the Marvel's Avengers camp, the live service superhero game soldiers on. Crystal Dynamics rolled out a patch earlier this week, and while that update will have fixed a number of bugs, it has also introduced a pretty major new one for some people playing the game on PS5. One that appears to have rendered the game unplayable for some.
When playing on PS5, Marvel's Avengers players are reporting a crash that pretty much renders the game unplayable. Crystal Dynamics has acknowledged the problem but 48 hours later, it doesn't appear to have figured out a fix. It has informed players of a workaround for the time being, but it does require you to sacrifice your campaign progress if you want to apply it.

“Go to Operations and Reset your Reassemble Campaign Progress. As soon as you become young Kamala on A-Day, force close the game from the PS home screen,” the tweet reads. Not an ideal scenario, but also not as detrimental to your Avengers experience as it might seem on the surface. The ability to reset your campaign was a feature added after launch at the request of players, and it's one that doesn't reverse everything you have done up until this point.
Simply put, while your data tracking will be reset, all the progress you've made with your characters and the XP you've collected will remain. So a pain if you're having to do it when you don't really want to, but not the end of the world. Crystal Dynamics does clarify resetting your campaign is effectively a workaround for anyone who can't wait as it tries to figure out a proper fix. There is currently no
