Thor's latest MCU skin is his uniquely rebranded aesthetic from Thor: Ragnarok in gladiatorial armor, complete with red face paint but without the helmet or dual blades. The omitted helmet was noticed quickly by fans who would have preferred the skin to have it by default. This outfit is iconic for how diverse it is from Thor's previous MCU appearances, and led directly to his appearance in Avengers: Infinity War. As is common for MCU-inspired skin announcements, Marvel's Avengers players will be able to purchase it tomorrow, February 17, in the Marketplace.
In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor and Loki find themselves on the artificial trash planet of Sakaar, where they meet up unexpectedly with Bruce Banner's Hulk and meet comical new characters in Korg and Valkyrie. The movie not only departs from Thor's traditionally long locks and stoicism, but also steeps Thor's character in comedy much more than in the previous two Thor movies. Thor's new look is then definitive of this character's reinterpretation, and it will surely make a fine addition to his other MCU-related outfits
