The Punisher is part of the base roster of ' playable heroes, though the brutal normal and ultimate abilities of Frank Castle may call that label into question. Wielding two different weapons, The Punisher comes equipped with various additional tools to decimate enemy teams. The straightforward nature of Frank's arsenal makes him much easier to play but difficult to master if you don't know his toolkit.
Similar to other characters like Magik or Iron Man in , The Punisher is considered a hero in the game. This means that he has lower health than other characters and is designed to deal great damage to take out enemies quickly. The Punisher balances a wide range of options, using his unique equipment to be threatening anywhere on the battlefield as long as opponents are in sight.
There are twenty-three characters available in the closed beta test for Marvel Rivals. While their rankings are fluid, some already rise above others.
The version of The Punisher that appears in uses futuristic tech to continue his crusade against crime. The justice that Frank brings comes from two distinct weapons attached to his primary attack button, which both come with limited ammo you have to reload once emptied. You can switch between The Punisher's two main weapons at any time, but they don't automatically reload when changed.
You can see the icons for both of The Punisher's weapons in the bottom left corner of your screen while playing the character. This also shows you how much ammo is left in the gun being used as Frank's Primary Attack.
The Punisher's abilities act similarly to Soldier 76 from, though with many of the advantages has over the series. Thanks to destructible environments, The Punisher can tear through enemy cover and stay mobile through abilities that open up map traversal. Frank's skills allow him to deal damage at mid to close range, putting him in the thick of fights constantly.
