Martha Is Dead offers a robust black-and-white photography system that allows you to freely use Giulia's 1940 Rolleicord camera. Several story objectives require you to shoot and develop specific photos, and there are a few shots that reveal creepy hidden details once developed.

Completing both infrared photo sets earns the Strength and Judgment achievements. To help you find these elusive pictures, we've listed all the game's photographic objectives, along with the camera settings needed to get the right exposure.
Since the game simulates 1940s film photography, you may need to use slightly different settings based on your exact position and lighting. When in doubt, look for the requirements on the left side of the camera interface - if any are not highlighted in red, something is off.
The game's tutorial photograph is taken in the garden just outside the family's house. Walk directly across to the wall overlooking the forest, and you'll see a sparrow. Get as close to the sparrow as you can (it won't fly away) and center it in your frame.
Use the default settings for exposure and aperture (1/60" and 6.5, respectively) and adjust the focus so that the red dial is set to 4 before taking the shot. The game will warn you if your settings are wrong before taking the picture, and you can keep trying until you take and develop a photograph correctly.
After successfully developing the sparrow photo, leave the darkroom and turn left. Set the camera up on the tripod by the window and then sit in the chair next to it. While the timer is going, you'll be able to select a facial expression for the picture.
