A recent survey taken by a Reddit user might lead some people to believe that Mario Party Superstars DLC is on the way. With all of the DLC Nintendo fans learned about during the latest Nintendo Direct, namely Mario Kart 8 Deluxe receiving major DLC, Mario Party Superstars was nowhere to be seen.
Mario Party Superstars was released in October of 2021, which could be the main reason no DLC has been announced yet. Following the same formula as the other Mario Party games, this allows fans to play with multiple people in a fun party setting. Players can choose to play with friends or online in a co-op setting, and Mario Party Superstars has remastered classic Mario Party boards and mini-games. There are only five maps available to play through, but there are over 100 different mini-games that can be played separately from the board game-style main game. Another thing included in this game is an extensive Mario Party Encyclopedia that is a fun way for players to dive into Mario lore.

Eurogamer reported on the possible rumor that there could be a Mario Party Superstar DLC in the works. According to a Reddit user, VideoPanda7113, they were given an ad on YouTube that asked which DLC they were planning to purchase. The list included games like Hot Wheels Unleashed, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing Happy Home Paradise, and lastly Mario Party Superstars. This could just be a simple oversight by whoever made the ad through YouTube, especially considering Mario Kart 8 is not listed as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but it could also be a major clue as to what Nintendo fans could expect soon.
