Nintendo has announced that the Booster Course Pass Wave 2 DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is launching next week, adding eight new and classic tracks to the game. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Pass will be adding 48 new courses to the game, which will be released across six waves of content.
The Wave 1 DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe added tracks like Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii, N64's Choco Mountain, and Mario Kart Tour's Tokyo Blur. Mario Kart Tour has been especially useful for DLC purposes, as it has many tracks that are based on real-world locations, allowing for an injection of fresh content to the game. There are many fans of the classic Mario Kart tracks, but the series can't fully rest on its laurels, especially as Mario Kart Tour is the closest thing to a true new Mario Kart game since the days of the Wii U.

The Booster Course Pass Wave 2 tracks will soon be made available to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe players around the world. A new trailer on the official Nintendo YouTube channel has announced that the next eight tracks will be released on August 4. The Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can be purchased for £22.49/$24.99, but people who subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will have access to these tracks for free when they go live.
The eight new tracks will be spread across the new Turnip Cup and Propeller Cup in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The Booster Course Pass Wave 2 DLC will actually contain a brand new track, in the form of Sky-High Sundae, which is based on desserts and resembles the recently announced Kirby's Dream Buffet for Nintendo Switch. The returning tracks include New York Minute and Sydney Sprint from Mario
