Microsoft has revealed the details of its March system update for Xbox consoles, which brings Pin to Quick Resume, new controller updates and more.
Pin to Quick Resume will allow players to select games that support the feature and organise them in a menu that sits at the top of the ‘Groups’ tab in ‘My Games and Apps’.
Also included in the update is the ability to remap the share button to serve multiple functions. Now the button, which was previously used for saving screenshots and videos to Xbox, can be used for actions such as muting your TV, opening your friends list, opening achievements and “many others”, according to Xbox.
The new audio setup wizard is also included in the update. This will allow players to alter the settings of their HDMI devices and, on compatible setups, enable Dolby Atmos for home theatre, DTS:X for home theatre and other high-end audio configurations.
Microsoft also brought back Twitch streaming integration directly into the Xbox dashboard last month.
After testing the feature since October, it’s now available to all Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One owners following a dashboard update in late February.
Twitch can be found by navigating to the ‘Capture and Share’ tab on the guide and selecting ‘Live streaming’.
It was recently revealed that Microsoft is planning to introduce mouse and keyboard support for Xbox Cloud Gaming. At the moment Xbox Cloud Gaming only supports controllers and touchscreen controls on mobile devices.
For a game like Microsoft Flight Simulator, which supports mouse and keyboard on both PC and Xbox consoles, this means users are required to use a controller when streaming the title via the cloud.
