Cyberpunk 2077 is firmly back on the radar, propelled by the release of the Netflix series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners a couple of weeks ago, an anime that takes place in the same fictional futuristic world as the CD Projekt Red game. In fact, the anime has launched Cyberpunk 2077 back into high player counts on Steam, while modders add anime-related content to the game.
The PC version of the game has inspired a glut of Edgerunners related mods, and we've collected a bunch in a round-up article, which features the likes of mods that make V resemble David Martinez, the protagonist of the anime, and another that adds in a new radio station featuring music from the anime. There is one more to add to the collection, one that has even been approved by CD Projekt, which replaces the game's cyberware sounds with audio from Studio Trigger's Edgerunners anime (thanks Gamesradar).

The 'Cyberware Sound Overhaul - Redmod' is the creation of Narcoshade, and which has been viewed nearly 50,000 times at the time of writing, and downloaded many hundreds of times. The mod replaces Cyberpunk 2077's in-game sounds for cyberware mods Berserk and Sandevistan and uses sounds that Edgerunners' viewers will be familiar with. So expect the game to sound more like the anime production by Studio Trigger rather than the original 2077 sounds recorded by CDPR.
As the Tweet shows, CD Projekt Red are clearly fans of the Cyberware Sound Overhaul mod, and shouted it out on the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account, noting that it was created with REDmod, which is a free DLC for the game that adds integrated support for installing and loading mods.
