Sure, it might not be the most original idea in the world, but we’re pretty excited to let you know Banana Kong 2 is launching on the Play Store in a couple of weeks. The game is a sequel to a game that came out almost ten years ago, but don’t worry too much if you never played it.
Much like its predecessor, Banana Kong 2 is an auto-running platformer with gorgeous graphics. You’re pelting it through a series of challenging levels, collecting bananas, surfing, riding pigs and getting up to all sorts of other wacky things.
Every run you face is going to be different, there’s a soundtrack from Sonic Mania composer Tee Lopes and you control everything with a single thumb, leaving your other nine digits to get up to all kinds of mischief. Here’s a trailer.
There’s going to be a leaderboard so you can compare your runs with your friends, and a whole bunch of different challenges to complete. They’ll be spread across jungles, forests, the north pole and more.
If you want to, you can click here to pre-register for Banana Kong 2. The game is slated to release on July 14th, so you’ve got just over a couple of weeks to wait.
