Lost Ark's launch on PC has been overwhelming. MostLost Ark players understand this inherently, as the MMO ARPG's servers are filling up quickly resulting in queues and frequent maintenance. While the technical issues continue to pose a problem for Amazon and Lost Ark's community, it's also in a situation worth celebrating. With that in mind, Amazon has shared some of Lost Ark's accomplishments stemming from its launch on Steam, as well as its popularity on Twitch.
To start, Lost Ark attained an incredible accomplishment on Steam. The game reached over 1.325 million concurrent players on the PC gaming platform. That number makes Lost Ark the second-highest played game of all time on Steam, passing both Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's peak. The only game higher than Lost Ark on the chart is PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, now known as PUBG: Battlegrounds, which reached a mind-boggling 3.25 million concurrent players in its launch window. Lost Ark may never reach that, but being second best next to it is worth celebrating.
Lost Ark Player Makes To-Do List for Those Who Have Hit Level 50
Lost Ark also launched at a time when MMOs have grown to be a significantly popular genre for Twitch streamers to play. It's then no surprise that Lost Ark instantly became the most popular game to watch on Twitch for its launch. Amazon says that Lost Ark accrued a peak of 1.2 million concurrent viewers at that point, with more than 112,000 streams broadcasting the game. Popular Twitch streamer Asmongold peaked at 427,880 viewers at one point during launch, though he wasn't actually playing the game. They may not be records, but they're impressive numbers, nonetheless.
