Lost Ark was released to western audiences in North America and Europe on February 11th, and while the there was a lot of excitement leading up to the launch, the servers for the European region could not handle the amount of people wanting to play the game. Due to the unbearably long queue times for Lost Ark, Amazon was forced to issue an apology and to provide the players with suitable compensation.
The compensation ended up being three days of free Crystalline Aura, a premium boost in Lost Ark that provides players 7,000 experience points every minute, a pet that provides storage and repair services, as well as 10% faster life recovery. In an effort to address the long queues,Lost Arkopened a new Europe West region and introduced daily login incentives as a means of enticing European players to transfer over. There was one problem with the login rewards, though.
Lost Ark Update Addresses Various Issues With the Game
As a free-to-play title, Crystalline Aura is Lost Ark's way of offering bonuses to its subscribers. However, given the way Crystalline Aura worked as a buff that applied to a person's entire account – regardless of the region they were primarily playing in – a player could feasibly create a character on all eight Europe West servers and reap the rewards several times over.
In theory, a Lost Ark player could obtain up to a year's worth of Crystalline Aura for free by claiming the Day 3 reward, and using the Blue Crystals from Day 6 to buy eight months of the premium boost – totaling up to 352 days of free
