Logan Paul has been awarded a Guinness World Record for spending the most amount of money on a Pokemon card in a private auction.
The card in question is the PSA Grade 10 Pikachu Illustrator card, which Logan Paul purchased back in July 2021 for $5,275,000. For comparison's sake, the most expensive Pokemon trading card sold at auction was another Pikachu Illustrator card that was sold for $900,000.

According to the announcement on the Guinness World Record site, "To obtain the PSA Grade 10 Pikachu Illustrator card, Paul exchanged a PSA Grade 9 Pikachu Illustrator card worth $1,275,000 that he had purchased from renowned sports card collector Matt Allen in Como, Italy. This Grade 9 card plus $4,000,000 equalled the cost of the pristine Grade 10 Pikachu Illustrator card."
In a move that should surprise no one, Logan Paul wore the Pikachu card as a necklace for his debut fight at Wrestlemania, showing it off to the crowd as he entered the ring. After winning the match, Paul was then awarded the Guinness World Record backstage.
Regarding being awarded the Guinness World Record, Logan Paul said, "I applied for so many records and the fact that I finally got one after my first [WWE] win ever? I come back to the locker room and I get a second win right away? I love Pokemon and the fact that it’s been validated with Guinness World Records – this is crazy. Tonight’s a wild night. This does not feel real!"
This isn't the first time that Logan Paul has owned and shown off an expensive Pokemon card either, as he previously purchased a 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard card for $150,000 and wore it during his fight with Floyd Mayweather.
