WWE has acknowledged Logan Paul’s record-breaking Pokémon card from last week’s WrestleMania event. Logan Paul has never shied away from his love of Pokémon and the related Pokémon Trading Card Game, constantly streaming himself unboxing packs of Pokémon cards online and even catching negative headlines for allegedly being caught up in a fake Pokémon card scam costing upwards of $3.5 million. On a more positive note, Paul has taken to wearing particularly valuable Pokémon cards around his neck as he began venturing into the squared circle, such as his choice of a limited edition Charizard card for his initial boxing match against Floyd Mayweather last June.
Logan Paul would bring a rare Pokémon card to the ring with him once again in his recent WrestleMania tag-team match with The Miz against Rey and Dominik Mysterio. In this instance, it was a record-breaking “Pikachu Illustrator” that is considered one of the rarest Pokémon cards in the world — having only been released as a prize in a series of art contests by a Japanese magazine named CoroCoro in 1998. He had obtained this card by trading in a slightly less pristine copy in an exchange worth upwards of $5,275,000, setting the Guinness World Record for the most expensive Pokémon trading card sold at a private sale. This choice of fashion accessory seems to have paid off for Logan Paul in the ring as well, as he would dazzle the crowd at WrestleMania with some impressive moves and ultimately pick up an upset win against the father/son Mysterio team.
