On Monday, Little People, Big World fans received sad news from Matt Roloff that his father had passed away. This season has been extremely hard for the Roloffs as they navigate their feuds. Usually, Matt's parents make an appearance, but they were noticeably absent this season.
The Roloff family has been a favorite among TLC viewers for their wholesome values and fun family dynamic. The TLC show has been on the air for over 23 seasons, and fans have not yet tired of their family struggles or farm shenanigans. Matt and Amy Roloff are now divorced, after viewers watched for seasons as their relationship became strained. All four of the couple's children have married and moved on from the farm. Even though arguments have taken over, one staple always stood the test of time, the Roloff grandparents.

Matt took to his Instagram to share the devastating news thatg his father, Ronald James Roloff, has passed away. Ronald died at the age of 84 but, according to his son, lived a very full life. The ten Roloff children referred to him as papa, and he went peacefully in his sleep. Ronald left behind a wife who he had been married to for 63 years. Matt shared with Little People, Big World fans that he was by his father's side along with his mother and some of the grandchildren.

Little People, Big World viewers will recall that in July of 2021, Matt shared that his father was battling with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, noting Ronald needed to undergo some chemo treatment.
