After completing the first level in A New Hope and finding Luke on Tatooine, players will be able to do the "Luke's Workshop" side activity in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Alternatively, players can revisit the Jundland Wastes on Tatooine to solve "Luke's Workshop" at any time in Free Play after unlocking the area. However, completing it early will earn players a collectible that can be used for class upgrades in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Side missions and puzzles throughout the game usually award characters or Kyber Bricks. The Kyber Bricks can be used for upgrades that affect all characters or applied to skills for specific classes. The additional skills and upgrades can make exploring the rest of the galaxy a lot easier. Although "Luke's Workshop" isn't one of the main story objectives, players can complete it quickly while going through the story to earn an extra reward.

For this mission, Luke is tasked with helping a group of droids get into an oil bath that looks like a hot tub. One of the droids will already be in the bath, and players can talk to it to get more information about the mission. In order to complete the "Luke's Workshop" side activity, players will need to use an Astromech Droid character in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Luckily, R2-D2 is part of the Story Mode version when players first arrive in this area.
