LEGO Mjolnir Set Looks Life-Size & Has Infinity Gauntlet Easter Egg

A first look at the new LEGO Mjølnir set has been revealed. Mjølnir is Thor’smost famous weapon, appearing in many MCU films. Like the character himself, the weapon is derived directly from Norse mythology and was introduced to audiences along with its wielder in the 2011 film Thor. The hammer is notable for having its own powers, whereby it can only be picked up by someone who is deemed worthy to wield it. In Avengers: Age of Ultron,it was hinted that Captain America might be able to pick up the hammer, and that fact was confirmed in Avengers: Endgame,when he used the weapon to help to defeat Thanos.

Since its introduction, the weapon has become one of the MCU’s most iconic symbols. Along with Captain America’s shield, the hammer is instantly recognizable and easily associated with Marvel’s superhero universe. In recent films, the hammer has also become a significant plot point. In Thor: Ragnarok, Mjolnir was destroyed by Thor’s villainous sister, Hela, and in Avengers: Infinity War,the God of Thunder went back in time to retrieve the Reality Stone and picked up a past version of Mjølnir along the way.

Now, in images shared by Target, fans can get their first look at the LEGO Mjølnir. The images show a large LEGO set, with the hammer seemingly big enough to be picked up by an adult hand. The images also show that the hammer has a hidden compartment, where an Infinity Gauntlet, the Tesseract, and a mini-figure of Thor can be placed. Check out the images below:
