Bethesda just released a new patch for, which fixes many lingering issues and adds a slick new ride. While the developer's post-launch support for the sprawling RPG may have been a bit slow out of the gate it's managed to pick up the pace in 2024 by releasing several updates that have tweaked some frustrating settings and included great quality-of-life improvements. The latest update is no exception but Bethesda has gone one step further by giving everyone access to a couple of exciting free Creations.
Over on Starfield's official blog, Bethesda laid out what fans can expect from the patch including stability and performance improvements, the return of the uncapped frame rate option on Xbox Series X, and several fixes that address some persistent problems with the Tracker's Alliance quests.
Users can alsodownload the Deimog Creation, a free add-on that introduces a new land vehicle to the game. The buggy includes an enclosed cabin and a mounted rocket launcher to help deal with some of the galaxy's more hostile creatures.
Most players would simply be happy to climb into the driver's seat of the Deimog but Bethesda wants to celebrate the game a little more. It's released another free Creation in the form of The Perfect Recipe, a quest that takes users through a "" in Akila City. A character-driven questline, The Perfect Recipe sees players tracking down a mechanic who once had aspirations to be a galaxy-renowned chef and helping him find his love for food and cooking once again.
Overall the November update for isn't massive but it does serve as a good reminder that Bethesda isn't yet done with the game. The various fixes and improvements will hopefully go a long way to keeping the community satisfied, especially on Xbox Series X. Given that the studio has confirmed that it has even more in mind, one has to hope that redeems itself in 2025.
