Marvel's Midnight Suns has once again released a new trailer highlighting its roster of superheroes, this time focusing on the vampire hunter Blade. After suffering from a delay, Marvel's Midnight Suns ultimately got a new release date, and is currently scheduled to come out on December 2 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
To build up anticipation, publisher 2K Games has been busy showing off each character that players will get to play in Marvel's Midnight Suns. So far, 2K has released spotlight trailers for Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch, The Hunter, and Magik, with the latest being the half-human, half-vampire hybrid otherwise known as Blade.
Midnight Suns Animated Prequel Shorts Are Reminiscent of Classic X-Men Cartoon
In the trailer, players can see Blade in his standard Midnight Suns attire while showing off his acrobatic maneuvers and precise sword mastery. The trailer also portrays Blade as being not only an excellent melee combatant, but also a versatile damage dealer who is able to hit from afar, as he can also be seen crushing an enemy using what appears to be a pair of submachine guns. The trailer ends with the Daywalker posing with his iconic glaive weapon after executing an AoE skill.
While not shown in the trailer, Blade also carries several damage-over-time abilities. This should play well when being synergized with characters who fall into the burst damage category, such as Ghost Rider or Captain Marvel. Judging from how the new trailer depicts the character, Blade in Midnight Suns should play as a more controlled and precise version of Wolverine.
