In a bit of creative marketing, Marvel's Midnight Suns could be teasing future potential downloadable content as Deadpool makes his case to join the roster. Following multiple game delays, Midnight Suns appears to be well on its way to its early December launch. To get fans ready, Firaxis has been steadily providing glimpses at all of the characters available inside the game, whether it be villains like Sabertooth or Venom, to the roster of heroes made up of both popular and lesser known heroes like Nico Minoru and Magik.
The current playable roster is already fairly expansive, giving fans plenty of options to suit how they want to play, from the up close and personal style of Wolverine, Doctor Strange's ranged magic, or the more adaptive and customizable Hunter. Still, the launch roster appears to be just the tip of the iceberg for where Firaxis plans to take Midnight Suns following its release. In fact, the developer has apparently already started to potentially tease upcoming content thanks to a Twitter takeover by none other than the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool.
Latest Midnight Suns Trailer is All About Blade
The short Twitter video on the renamed «DeadpoolSuns» account has the popular Marvel character breaking the fourth wall to appeal to fans to tell Firaxis that he should join the Midnight Suns playable roster. With Nolan North reprising his voice role from Activision's 2013 Deadpool game, the character admits to taking over the account and holding it hostage until he is added to the game. The character even creates his own hashtag and shows off some drawings of potential alternate costumes including one with a sort of black and yellow wizard hat.
