Following a smaller, yet exciting role in Marvel Studios'Eternals, Kit Harington's Dane Whitman character raises a lot of questions about what awaits in the MCU's future. While many fans are looking forward to his next appearance, it's Harington who is still unsure of when that will even come.
Whitman is a human who works at the Natural History Museum in London as a history professor and is dating the Eternal Sersi (Gemma Chan). In Eternals' post-credits scene, after opening an old chest in his classroom inherited from his ancestors, Whitman takes up the valuable family antique, the Ebony Blade, which will set him down the path to become the hero Black Knight in order to rescue Sersi and a few other Eternals from the celestial Arishem.

In a new interview with Zoe Ball on BBC's The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Harington gave an update as to when Dane Whitman will show up again in the MCU, and judging by his response, it turns out fans won't know for quite some time. «I'll have to ask you, because the fans have been asking, what's the future of Dane Whitman AKA Black Knight? Any more happening? Any things in the diary planned?» Ball asked Harington. «No, not that I know of. It sounds like a very political answer but, I mean, it's exciting for me because the last film, as anyone who has seen it, kind of sets an idea up that I might go further,» Harington responded.
