The Originull Wasteland is Kirby & The Forgotten Land's fifth world, and this vast desert is full of hidden Waddle Dees in need of rescue. However, the open spaces in these barren sands can make tracking down every hidden path and secret a bit tricky, and the Waddle Dees get harder to find as the game progresses. To reach the boss at the end of this world, Kirby will need to send at least 25 Waddle Dees safely back to town.
As the Waddle Dees Kirby rescues return to Kirby & The Forgotten Land's Waddle Dee Town, they'll build a variety of useful shops and facilities that Kirby can visit between adventures. By the time players reach the Originull Wasteland, they'll likely have unlocked most of the facilities in town. However, several minigames require Kirby to rescue over 100 Waddle Dees to unlock. The Flash Fishing and Tilt-and-Roll Kirby games are the last to be unlocked, which require 155 and 180 Waddle Dees.

Like the previous Kirby & The Forgotten Land world, the Originull Wasteland has a total of 49 Waddle Dees waiting to be rescued. There are always a few Waddle Dees in the golden cage at the end of every level, and some Waddle Dees can be rescued by completing each stage's trophy achievements. However, the rest can be found locked in small cages throughout all four levels, so Kirby will have to search thoroughly to find them all.
