A creative Kirby fan has created a custom Game Boy featuring the Nintendo character, which is now getting the attention of a lot of fans. Known as a rather unique platformer series, Kirby's signature Copy Ability has always been a cornerstone of the franchise. However, while the pink puffball has sucked up many enemies and objects, a Game Boy was never on the list, at least until now.
Kirby — while always one of the more popular Nintendo-exclusive franchises — is in the midst of a rather robust content surge. The pink floatable puffball has had a pair of major titles released in the form of Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Kirby's Dream Buffet, with Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe, a remake of the 2011 Wii U title, slated for a February 2023 release.

The custom Kirby Game Boy seems to have first appeared on r/gaming, posted by u/creativexangst, the creation's owner. The impressively designed device perfectly encapsulates both the character that it's based on and the era from which it hails. The handheld features a clear partially clear, partially pink plastic case, which originally was supposed to be all pink, except everything is getting sucked up by Kirby in the corner. The design creates quite the clever visual effect, with details like the button's letters also getting sucked in really selling the idea.
Kirby's Dream Land is fittingly playing on the pink-bordered screen, Kirby's first-ever video game from 1992. The custom Kirby Game Boy is clearly a hit with fans, with the post amassing nearly 1,500 upvotes at the time of writing.
