Kia has finally announced its EV6 electric crossover vehicle in India, and announced the ex-showroom price as well. The Kia EV6 will come in tow trims in India — a GT Line RWD model and a GT Line AWD. The GT Line RWD is priced at Rs. 59.96 lakhs whereas buyers will have to spend Rs. 64.95 lakhs for the GT Line AWD trim. Kia had originally planned to bring 100 CBU (Completely Built-Up Units) but all of them are sold out. In fact, Kia had received 355 pre-bookings for the electric car, and has promised to make up the demand by allocating more units to India.
The Kia EV6 will be available via 15 deals across 12 Indian cities, and the first deliveries will commence September 2022. The two variants of the Kia EV6 vary mostly in the power output. The GT Line RWD offers 226bhp power and a torque rating of 350Nm. The dual motor AWD model has a power output rating of 320bhp and torque figure of 650Nm. Range varies highly, with the RWD model having the ability to go up to 528 Km and the AWD model having the ability to go up to 425 Km.
The Kia EV6 is a very futuristic looking car, and its crossover design is complimented by the variety of features. The car gets two displays mounted centrally on the dashboard. As part of the drivers safety features, the Kia EVS gets features such as multi-collision braking, lane-keeping assist, AEB, lane follow assist, and blind-spot collision warning with rear cross-traffic collision avoidance system.
Additionally, it will also get some other features such as parking collision avoidance assist, a reverse surround view camera with a 3D model and a blind-spot view monitor.
