Judith Light weighs in on the planned revival of Who’s The Boss. A sequel to the popular 1984 sitcom has been in discussion for several years, however, Alyssa Milano (who played Samantha Micelli in the original series) recently revealed that development on a follow-up could be well underway. Milano is reportedly working on the series with her former co-star and on-screen father, Tony Danza, who previously stated that a reboot was unlikely given the passing of Katherine Helmond (who formerly played Mona Robinson).
Now, in conversation with ComicBook, Light has discussed the Who’s The Boss revival. Admitting that she was unable to give a “substantive answer” on the chances of her return, Light said that she hadn’t received any updates on the new project. She explained, “I’m more in a space and time now where I allow things to evolve.” Though she did not rule out the possibility of joining the series if approached, Light said she would, “leave it up to whatever gods there be.”

The 72-year-old actress starred in Who’s The Boss until its conclusion in 1992, having aired eight seasons and approximately 196 episodes. Receiving particular praise for the on-screen chemistry of its cast, the show garnered over 40 award nominations, as well as a Golden Globe and Emmy Award in 1989. Light played Angela Bower in the sitcom, a divorced executive in New York who employs a former major league baseball player (Danza) as her live-in housekeeper.
