Josh Brolin confirms he will return for Dune 2 with a funny story about IMDb. Brolin is known for his performances in Milk, Inherent Vice, No Country for Old Men, and as Thanos in the MCU. He had previously worked with Dune director Denis Villeneuve with his starring role in the 2015 action-thriller, Sicario.
Dune, based on the novel by Frank Herbert, follows Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) and his family after they are thrust into a war for the deadly and highly coveted planet Arrakis. Brolin plays Gurney Halleck, the weapons master of House Atreides and a mentor to Paul, who was last seen in the first Dune taking on a legion of invading Harkonnen soldiers, leaving his fate unknown. Dune 2is highly anticipated after the first film grossed over $400 million at the box office and won six Oscars.

In an interview with Collider, Brolin confirms that his character will return for Dune 2. He says that someone told him he wasn't on the IMDb page, causing him to call up his publicist and ask his name be added to the page. Brolin added that he was very proud of his involvement in Dune. He also mentions that Dune 2 will be more action-focused and that he's already training for the reprisal. Read his quote below:
I am a part of Dune Part Two, to the ridiculous extent of when somebody mentioned to me that it wasn't on IMDb, I actually went out of my way to call Liz (his publicist) and say, «Can you please put that on IMDb?» Because it's a proud moment for me, man.
As well as talking about Dune 2, Brolin also talked about his shared confusion over why Villeneuve didn't receive a Best Director nomination at the Oscars for his work on Dune. Brolin agreed
