Late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Trevor Noah take aim at Hollywood for halting Russian releases. On February 24, the world watched as President Vladimir Putin and Russia invaded its neighboring country, Ukraine, an unprovoked act of aggression that has resulted in global outcry. The United States government responded with especially strong economic sanctions against the aggressor, while Hollywood also got involved in the growing worldwide boycott against Russia. Disney was the first studio to announce it would be pausing its upcoming spring releases in the country, starting with Pixar's Turning Red which was slated for a March 10 premiere in Russia.
Several other studios soon followed suit, with Warner Bros. pulling Matt Reeves' highly-anticipated The Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson. Sony also halted the release of a long-awaited comic book movie, the Spider-Man spinoff Morbius starring Jared Leto. Lastly, Paramount pulled two tentpoles – the video game movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and The Lost City, a romantic-comedy adventure starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. While each of these theatrical releases has been put on pause for now, nearly every studio has vowed to monitor the conflict as it unfolds.

Now, late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Trevor Noah are addressing Hollywood's growing boycott of Russia. The hosts addressed the industry optics during two separate monologue segments on their respective late-night shows, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Daily Show.
