Out of all the recent games getting the delay treatment, this one probably hurts me the most. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, which was scheduled for release later this year, has been delayed until summer 2023. I had been hoping to jet, grind, and listen to its radio before the year was up. Sadly, this was not to be.
Its developer shared the news earlier today on Twitter. Team Reptile explains that the game just isn’t quite at “a level where we would be personally satisfied with.” Instead, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will be delayed many months. We won’t see it arrive until the summer. It’s roughly a half-year delay, which suggests that the team still has quite a lot of work to do. And while the announcement is unfortunate, Team Reptile is prepping some new screenshots to show off where the game currently is in development.
“We are convinced that releasing the game this year will not take it to a level where we would be personally satisfied with,” Team Reptile writes in its tweet. “To create a fulfilling and unique game we are extending the development time of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk to summer 2023.”
In a follow-up tweet, the developer wrote it will release ” lot more visuals this week to show how [Bomb Rush Cyberfunk] is shaping up.”
