PlayStation’s Insomniac Games is working on a third unannounced title, in addition to Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine.
That’s according to a live stream held by the Full Sail University last September, which is just now being circulated on social media. In the stream, project director Erin Eberhardt claimed they were helming an unannounced project at the studio.
Eberhardt previously worked on PlayStation Now and Sony Interactive Entertainment, as well as Blizzard’s eSports initiative.
“This is actually my first triple-A game project now, I’m the project director here on an unannounced project,” Eberhardt said on the stream. “I’m very excited to actually be making the games now.”
Eberhardt joined Insomniac just before the studio began advertising for a multiplayer project.
Insomniac is officially working on a pair of Marvel titles, but it’s best known for the Ratchet & Clank series, the last entry of which released in 2021.
Outside of those franchises, Insomniac also worked on 2014’s Xbox exclusive Sunset Overdrive. In 2021, Sunset Overdrive was successfully registered by Sony at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Although the trademark registry isn’t indicative of any plans to revive the game, it coincided closely with Sunset Overdrive’s director re-joining Insomniac the same year.
