The cast for the Iron Man spin-off Marvel Cinematic Universe show Ironheart is expanding with the addition of Hamilton star Anthony Ramos. Created by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato, Riri Williams made her Marvel Comics debut in 2016 as an engineering student who designs a suit of armor similar to that of Tony Stark's Iron Man armor. After initially using the suit to fight crime, she attracts the attention of Stark and earns his endorsement to become a superheroine.
Development on Ironheart was first announced during the 2020 Disney Investor Day in which Dominique Thorne had been cast to star in the titular role, which she would first bring to life in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. After a few months of searching, Marvel would tap Snowpiercer alum Chinaka Hodge to sere as the head writer for the six-episode series. As production nears a start for Ironheart, the series is growing in an exciting new direction.

Deadline has brought word that In the Heights and Hamilton star Anthony Ramos has been cast for the Iron Man spin-off MCU series Ironheart. Sources report that the Emmy and Golden Globe nominee is set for a key role in the series that is being kept a secret. Word is also swirling that Ramos' character will be introduced in a similar vein to Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror in Loki, with plans to carry his character over into future Marvel projects.
