Well known IRLstreamer Jakenbake was caught offering disheartening insight into his conversation with Twitch President Dan Clancy. Jakenbake frequently streams his travels and other in-real-life escapades on Twitch, but was filmed off stream while at TwitchCon, the streaming platform's biannual convention.
Owned my Amazon, Twitch has been mired in controversy ever since it announced changes to how revenue would be split between the company and some of the most popular streamers on the platform. Previously, and until June 1 next year, larger streamers were offered exclusive, negotiated contracts that often provided a revenue split of 70/30 in favor of the streamer. Under the new terms, all 70/30 contracts would be void after earnings of $100,000 had been accumulated, replaced with a 50/50 split which is the norm for the majority of partnered streamers on Twitch. Sentiment towards this alteration has been overwhelmingly negative from Twitch streamers, which prompted Jakenbake to bring up the issue when given an opportunity.

Referencing his recent meeting with Twitch's President, Jakenbake can be seen uncharacteristically dejected, opening with an affirmation that he has nothing against the man himself. Despite this, he goes on to claim a lack of confidence in Dan Clancy's vision, determining him to be «out of touch with what the (Twitch) streamers need and want», concluding with the fact he felt «depressed» coming away from the conversation.
