There are several objects like asteroids, meteors, among others out there in space dubbed near-Earth objects (NEOs) by space agency NASA that can pose a huge threat to planet Earth. If they collide with the planet, it can impact all living beings severely. In order to avoid such dangerous situations, scientists and researchers keep an eye on the movements of these objects through various technical marvels like telescopes. According to the latest information provided by NASA, two giant asteroids are rushing towards planet Earth today, November 13 and one is a giant 97-foot asteroid.
The asteroids named 2022 VE, which is a massive 97-foot asteroid and 2022 VL1, which is a 48-foot asteroid, are rushing towards the planet at great speed. Asteroid 2022VE's closest approach to Earth will be just 2690000, while 2022 VL1 closest approach to the planet will be a terrifying 282000, according to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The 97-foot asteroid is moving at a hair-raiisng clip of 32724 km per hour (9.09 km/sec) and the 48-foot asteroid is travelling at a speed of 31320 km per hour (8.7km/sec).
Now, the question is, are these asteroids dangerous for our planet and all the living organisms on it? Well, these asteroids do not pose any threat to planet Earth as they will not collide with it if they keep going on their way in their current trajectory. It can be known that not every asteroid coming towards Earth is dangerous for the living organisms staying on it. However, if they change direction due to some reason like Earth's gravitational pull, or something else acts on them, then these asteroids can pose problems. However, NASA keeps a constant eye on them to ensure any such events are quickly found and acted upon.
