Think that the 48MP camera on the new iPhone 14 Pro is too meh? Worry not, as Motorola has just unveiled a new smartphone that debuts the world's first 200MP camera sensor in India. Meet the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, which now becomes Motorola's newest flagship phone in India. The Edge 30 Ultra, in fact, has some great numbers to boast for a flagship – a 200MP main camera, a 125W fast wired charging, a 50W wireless charger, the fastest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, and a 144Hz display. Phew!
Before we deep dive into the specs, here are the prices and other basic details. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra comes in just a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, costing Rs. 59,999. However, during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, the Ultra will be available at a price of Rs. 54,999. The phone will come in Interstellar Black and Starlight White colours.
Along with the Edge 30 Ultra, Motorola also announced the Edge 30 Fusion in India at a price of Rs. 42,999 for the single variant, which will be available at a discounted price of Rs. 39,999 during the Flipkart sale. The phone comes in Cosmic Grey and Solar Gold colours.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra boasts of a 200MP main rear camera that allows for multiple pixel binning modes. Motorola promises better details and low light performance with the new image sensor. This is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera that doubles up as a macro camera. Additionally, there's also a 12MP portrait camera with 2X optical zoom. The front camera has a 60MP sensor for selfies.
Inside, the Edge 30 Ultra comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset that is paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on Android 12 out of the box and Motorola says it will get three more Android OS
