It's just been a few months since iPhone 13 series arrived with much fanfare in the markets around the world and amazingly, rumours and leaks regarding the new iPhone 14 series started trending on the internet almost immediately after. One of the biggest talking points is the design of the 'notch'. Several recent reports have suggested that Apple will opt for a bigger hole-punch in iPhone 14. However, a recent leak shows that iPhone 14 series will drop the notch design and instead, it will go for "pill and hole" cutout design. He said that he has “independently been able to verify” that this schematic is real and accurately represents the design Apple will use.
Apple Track has reported that Apple is “taking the components of the notch and applying them directly in the display, eliminating any waste areas that don’t include the cameras or sensors.”
Apple’s plans for a hole + pill design was first reported earlier this year by Display Supply Chain Consultants analyst Ross Young. The report contradicted previous reporting that had suggested that Apple was planning to use a simple hole-punch design.
