Intel is further adding more DX11 performance to Arc GPUs while bringing out a brand new tool known as PresentMon.
Since Intel launched its Arc GPU family, the company prioritized modern APIs including DX12 and Vulkan. Now that Intel has strengthened its performance within those, the blue team took a step back and focused on DX11 performance which has seen incremental updates over the quarters & at this point, Intel's DX11 performance is on par with its competitors.
The latest driver update for Intel Arc GPUs further enhances DX11 performance by adding 19% higher FPS on average and 20% higher 99th Percentile FPS versus the launch drivers. This boost can be witnessed in some of the most commonly played titles including Overwatch 2, Apex, GTA V, DOTA 2, Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Genshin Impact, Destiny 2 & more. The following charts from Intel show the performance of the Arc A750 graphics card using the launch driver and the latest drivers:
Talking about their overall achievements for Arc GPUs, the Intel Graphics division has so far offered:
In addition to the performance updates, Intel is also presenting a new tool known as "PresentMon" which will offer an in-game overlay, allowing users to perform real-time analysis and monitoring of their system's performance. Following is the full run-down on the tool:
This overlay can run while your game is on the screen to show your performance, GPU telemetry like voltage and temperature, and analyze a heap of information, all in real time. Want to see your 99th percentile frame times charted against your GPU utilization just above a chart of memory of utilization? We’ve got you! Maybe you really love histograms (like TAP does!) or maybe you are just tech-curious and want to see how
