Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in its Phase 4, there are characters and events that could lead to even bigger ones in the still-mysterious Phase 5, and a theory suggests that the MCU will replace the Beyonder with Kang the Conqueror in one of the most popular storylines from Marvel Comics: Secret Wars. The MCU’s Phase 4 is introducing new characters, continuing the stories of already established ones, and exploring new events and concepts, and the main one so far is the multiverse.
The MCU started to explore the multiverse in Avengers: Endgame with the creation of different timelines thanks to the Time Heist, but Marvel has polished its concept of the multiverse with Loki, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, proving that it's not only about different timelines within the MCU but also other universes, such as the Sony Spider-Man Universe. The events of Loki will be key in Phase 4 thanks to the introduction of variants and the creation of alternate timelines after Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) killed He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), making way for not only multiversal chaos but also the arrival of Kang the Conqueror, a variant of He Who Remains.
