Google Maps is quite a useful tool especially in a city where you are a complete stranger. It has made traveling pretty easy. Not only does it tell direction, but it also warns you about toll road charges, and provides live traffic updates about the area around you as well. Google Maps even allows you to measure the distance between two locations. However, the process is a little tricky. But Don’t worry, we have brought a step-by-step guide on how to measure the distance between places using Google Maps, whether you're using a PC or a smartphone. Check out the steps on how to measure distance on Google Maps
1. First open up Google Maps web page on your PC and then use the search bar to look for your starting location. Once you spot the right place, right-click on it and a drop-down menu would appear.
2. There you'll see an option to Measure distance. Tap on it and then choose another point on the map that you want to measure the distance to. You will see a small box at the bottom of your screen showing the distance between your starting point and your destination.
3. If you want to relocate the points you’re measuring, then you’ll have to simply click and hold the white dot on either end of the line and drag it to a new location. Alternatively, you can click on another point and create a path.
