The most noteworthy aspect of using a Loom is the proximity in which the player needs to be located to the structure itself.
The Loom allows players to build items in that provide shelter from the elements and help increase survival on the deserted island where the game takes place. Cloth itself as an item is alternatively found through storage containers in the world, but players will still need to build a loom to get the quantity they will need during their playthrough.

The Loom doesn't need to be interacted with directly in order to gain access to crafting Cloth and Bandages. Players only need to stand close to the structure and then open their crafting menu to craft the Cloth if they have four Fibrous Leaves in their inventory. The Loom itself is made with early-game materials and can be built relatively soon in the game and Fibrous Leaves in can even be farmed.
