Opening the Mountain Door is Tunic is one of the last mysteries players can solve because most of the instruction manual will need to be assembled before attempting to find the solution. Many of the instruction pages can be found while completing the main objectives in Tunic, but some of them are hidden or linked to other collectibles. The instruction manual is made up of 55 pages, but there are only 25 boxes with page numbers in the Golden Path puzzle.
To find the Golden Path puzzle, players will need to collect page 49. This page can be found by using the clue on page 44 to find the correct button input code for activating the golden pillar in the northwest part of the Overworld. Players will also need to find 10 of the 20 Fairies in Tunic to complete the Golden Path, so finding the Mountain Door solution is probably the most time-consuming secret in the game.

Finding the necessary instruction pages will require players to complete most of Tunic. The teleport dash needs to be unlocked and the fox will need to be returned to its corporeal form before the Mountain Door solution can be identified. Players will also need to discover mechanics like praying to reach every instruction page used in the Golden Path puzzle.
Once most of the instruction manual is assembled, the solution for opening the Mountain Door can be found. On page 49 of the instruction manual, there's a grid with numbers that indicate which page to look at for that section of the Golden Path.
