Pokémon GO players will have a chance to encounter a shiny Therian Forme Landorus as the legendary Pokémon makes its debut. This Force of Nature Pokémon is one of a trio, and it is only available in five-star raids from April 26, 2022, until May 3, 2022. Additionally, players will have a chance to farm this legendary Pokémon during the weekly Raid Hour on Wednesday, April 27th, from 6 PM until 7 PM. While not yet formally announced, the Water-/Fairy-type Pokémon Tapu Fini will likely replace Landorus in five-star raids on May 3, 2022, to complete the set of four Alolan guardians, like Tapu Bulu in Pokémon GO.
Veteran Pokémon GO players will know that Incarnate Forme Landorus was previously available in five-star raids. This version of the weather-themed Pokémon is orange with a white beard and hair, and it floats on a cloud-like genie with a threatening black and red arm coming from his back. Meanwhile, the Therian Forme Landorus is also orange and stands on four limbs with a black and red tail. The shiny versions of both Formes of Landorus are visually similar; they are just more yellow-toned instead of orange. Additionally, both Incarnate and Therian Formes are valuable additions to the Battle League in Pokémon GO.

Players should note that Landorus is a Flying/Ground-type in Pokémon GO. Accordingly, the most effective counter against this legendary Pokémon is Ice-type moves, which are super effective and will deal twice the amount of damage. Additionally, Landorus is also weak to Water-type moves. Some of the best Pokémon who can learn powerful Ice- or Water-type moves are Mega Abomasnow, Blastoise, Lapras, Mamoswine, and Gyarados.
