V Rising is home to many coveted resources by players, such as the Crude Gems that can be grounded into Gem dust. V Rising is a top-down massive multiplayer online roleplaying game in which players must gather materials and blueprints in order to improve their character and base through crafting. In the game, players take on the role of a vampire who has just awoken from a centuries-long slumber and is now trying to survive in the harsh world of V Rising.
The main use for Gems in V Rising is to create the byproduct, Gem dust. This dust can be acquired from any gem, but players will find it early in tandem with Crude Gems since they are the most common in the game. Gem dust is an important material that can be used to craft multiple items but is primarily used to build Vampire Waygates after players acquire that blueprint from defeating the level 36 boss, Polora the Feywalker.

To break down Gems into dust, players will need to feed them to a special construction called a Devourer. To acquire the blueprints for the Devourer in V Rising, players will need to defeat the level 26 boss, Lidia the Chaos Archer. Unfortunately, Lidia can be somewhat hard to find as she roams along the roads of Farbane Woods, so it might be a good idea for players to track her with the Blood Altar.
Although Crude Gems can drop from several enemies, such as Stone Golems, the best way to farm them is to search for Crude Gem Veins in Farbane Woods. By following this map, players can plan a route along the woods through the most node-dense areas while defeating any Stone Golems they come across to farm Crude Gems effectively. The nodes, or veins, appear like regular stones in V Rising
