Ahead of the March 17 State of Play presentation, Hogwarts Legacydeveloper Avalanche Software has revealed a snippet of footage from the game's portrayal of House Gryffindor, including the iconic Hogwarts bedrooms featured in the Harry Potter movie series. Although at first glance, they look relatively similar to the design that Harry Potter fans might know and love, there are a few differences worth noting. Additionally, it raises questions of what the other House's bedrooms might look like or how they could change throughout Hogwarts Legacy's storyline.
First announced in the Fall of 2020 at a PS5 Showcase, Hogwarts Legacy's surprise reveal showed an open world and validated long-time rumors regarding the existence of a Harry Potter RPG. At the time of its announcement, the game was set to come out in 2021, though by January of that year, it had already been pushed back to 2022. As of early 2022, the game is still reportedly on-track for a release at some point this year, though any concrete date has yet to be provided. Many Harry Potter fans are hoping that the PlayStation State of Play this March, which will focus exclusively on Hogwarts Legacy, will bring with it not only a final release date but also a long-anticipated look at the in-game design of Hogwarts Castle and the rest of the wizarding world.
