A new gameplay clip for Hogwarts Legacy shows off a closer look at the dragons in the upcoming role-playing title. Publisher WB Games unveiled Hogwarts Legacy gameplay earlier this month during a dedicated PlayStation State of Play broadcast. The stream showcased nearly 20 minutes of the adventure in action, with customization, combat, and classes taking center stage throughout much of the presentation.
Hogwarts Legacy entered the public consciousness in late 2020 following years of rumors and speculation about a new Harry Potter-branded interactive adventure. The title originally bore a 2021 launch window, which WB Games later pushed back to 2022. And the recent gameplay reveal makes it clear that Hogwarts Legacy remains on track for a full rollout this year. At the end of the preview a couple of weeks ago, viewers were treated to confirmation of Hogwarts Legacy's holiday 2022 launch, though Warner Bros. stopped short of sharing a specific due date. That hasn't stopped developer Avalanche Software from dropping new gems about the project every now and again, however.

Today, the official Twitter account for Hogwarts Legacy shared a post asking fans to decide whether magical beasts like dragons count as "friend or foe." Brief glimpses of gameplay footage accompanied the post, including one clip that shows a dragon lying on its side, presumably awaiting a friendly belly rub. Naturally, a number of the page's followers flocked to the replies to confirm that dragons, hippogriffs, and other fantastical creatures will be considered friends when the title hits shelves later in the year — especially if they're rideable mounts.
