As some players and content creators get their initial taste of Overwatch 2 inside its first beta, they are learning just how impactful the hero reworks are and the potential synergy they bring to the table. Two heroes undergoing major reworks in the sequel are Bastion and Orisa, both of whom have been given near-full reworks from the ground up. The potential synergy between these two bots was seen by two players who, during one game, show just how devastating the heroes' ultimates are in-tandem.
Overwatch 2 is the sequel to Blizzard's 2016 competitive multiplayer hero-shooter, Overwatch, which pits players against each other with a roster of colorful and powerful characters to choose from. The sequel picks up shortly after the game's titular team reunites amid rising battles with hostile Omnic forces and the growing reach of the criminal organization Talon. Overwatch 2 will offer a competitive multiplayer experience similar to the first game, though with teams of five compared to the previous title's six and restricted to one tank character. In addition, an expanded PvE option to be released later featuring story-driven missions and Horde-style Hero missions.
Future Overwatch 2 Beta Tests Will Include Consoles
As mentioned above, players have been getting their first taste of the multiplayer changes inside the closed beta, testing out character reworks and the team re-balancing.
