Horizon Forbidden West has been one of the year’s most anticipated games, and specifically one of the most anticipated titles to arrive on PS5 following the game’s initial reveal at the PlayStation Experience event in 2020. With a new graphical update, and a sprawling open world to explore, fans had plenty to look forward to when the game finally arrived.
The sequel to the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn, Forbidden West sees the return of outcast-turned-warrior Aloy, played by Ashly Burch, as she must venture across the titular Forbidden West to solve the mystery of why the machine animals are going feral, and in the process stop a growing conflict between two warring tribes from getting out of hand. The game sees Aloy teaming up with familiar friends and allies such as Varl and Erend, and the coming into contact again with the mysterious Sylens, played by John Wick’s Lance Reddick.
