Guerrilla Games have let a few weeks pass since its last patch update for Horizon Forbidden West. With some key post-game features still missing months after launch, some fans began questioning what was going on over at the studio. Those questions have now been answered as Sony decided to package one of Horizon: Forbidden West's biggest patch updates with a new trailer for Sony's upcoming spin-off PSVR 2 game, Horizon Call of the Mountain.
After the first gameplay reveal trailer for the PSVR 2 exclusive Horizon Call of the Mountain, Narrative Director Ben McCaw announced that Horizon Forbidden West will be getting a major update that will finally be bringing many appealing new features to the game and a fan-favorite game mode: New Game+. Now players can replay the main story with all the upgraded weapons and armor and fight harder enemies.

The 1.14 Patch dubbed a «Major Update» for Horizon Forbidden West will also bring in the Ultra Hard difficulty, the ability to reset an entire skill tree to re-tool Aloy's skills, and new weapons and rewards, like face paints and dyes for New Game+. In addition, there is a new trophy set, like the God of War Easter egg trophies, along with finally the ability to transmog or take the look of a favored armor set and apply it to a piece of armor with resistance and perks that the player prefers.
With no chapter select option to redo specific events from the adventure, fans have to start a new game in order to relive Horizon Forbidden West's story and/or access certain parts of the map for missing lore logs. Players would prefer having the weapons that they've spent one hundred hours or more upgrading and becoming familiar
