Here's a complete breakdown of the Skill Tree in the game, and some tips as to where you should focus spending your Skill Points. There are various playstyles available, but the Skills can give you a head start on areas of the game.
The Skill Tree consists of six separate branches, each dedicated to a certain playstyle. They all consist of boosts, passive abilities, combat abilities, and some extra little features here and there to help you along. There are also Valor Surges, which we'll get into a little later on.
Each branch also features Weapon Techniques - these are abilities that will apply to the various weapon types in the game. When unlocked, you can select which Weapon Technique you want active on the Weapon Wheel (while hovering over the weapon). These abilities will use up Stamina, which can be upgraded with more Skill Points.
The Warrior branch focuses on combat - particularly melee combat with the spear. Here, you can unlock plenty of combos and resonator upgrades for your spear attacks that will make you much stronger against human opponents and even smaller machines. These combos can be explored and practiced in the Melee Pits.
The Warrior tree also includes Weapon Techniques for the Warrior Bows. This includes firing five arrows at once, or burst firing three arrows in quick succession - worthwhile abilities if this is your weapon of choice.
